Dissecting the Sound of Australian Rock

A few years back I had the pleasure of meeting up with legendary Australian producer Mark Opitz for a coffee. It was great to meet Mark and discuss music production with him, as i had grown up listening to all of the seminal Australian rock that he had produced. His name is synonymous with the industry and his approach to production highlights the attention to detail that goes into producing great work on every level. This article covered the guitar production approach for The Angels, which was something of a signature of their sound.
